What You Need in Your Home Gym

Remember the days when we used to go to gyms and studios to work out and practice yoga? Yeah, me too. Good times!

Coronavirus has not only shaped our lives, but it has redefined the way we exercise as well. Home and garage gyms are becoming more popular as fitness enthusiasts find a way to not skip the gym. Once upon a fan of a group studio workout, I am now a fan of a good zoom workout at home.

Convenience is key when it comes to working out, and having the essential equipment is important for a successful at-home training session. Below is a list of 8 must-haves for your home gym.

A mat : I personally use my yoga mat for both my workouts and my yoga practice. Though an investment, liforme and manduka, are the best in the game.

Resistance Bands: This is a piece of equipment that should be in everyone's gym. They take very little room, are very versatile, and are cost effective. I got mine from Amazon, where they have a wide variety to choose from.

Waist trainer: We believe that using a waist trainer while you exercise improves posture and helps you keep your core engaged. Our sculpting waist trainer will make you feel strong and connected to your core during your cardio sessions.

Visor: Protect your face from the sun is my motto, particularly while you exercise outdoors. The wide brim of our mesh visor provides full coverage for the face and neck.

Ankle Weights: Ankle weights made a chic comeback thanks to our friends over at bala. The 1 and 2lb weights can be wrapped around the ankles or the wrists enhancing any exercise routine.

Mosquito Repellent: This one is a must when exercising outdoors, particularly for those of us living in warmer climates. de la heart's chemical-free mosquito repellent is made with all natural ingredients and essential oils.

Dumbbells: I personally own a set from Amazon basics that includes 2, 3, and 5lb weights. They come with their own weight rack which makes it easy to move around and store anywhere in your house.

Cleaning Spray: Coronavirus helped us implement a higher standard of cleanliness and sanitation, so we made our own natural, antibacterial sanitizer to clean our fitness gear after our sweat sessions.
