Gigi's Back To School Morning Ritual

Class is Back in Session: My Morning Ritual

Fall is in the air and it’s the perfect time to make a fresh start with your morning ritual. For me, what works is sticking to a consistent routine every day. As I like to say, when motivation just isn’t there, habit will get you there. I wanted to share my typical “back to school” morning routine with you. Adapt it to fit your schedule and your wellness needs, and have fall filled with self-care!

5 – 6 a.m. Wake up, hydrate and meditate

As soon as I wake up, I hydrate with 1-2 glasses of room temp water. Drinking water on an empty stomach helps to awaken your body’s detox flow and kickstart your metabolism. Then, I meditate for 30-60 minutes. Starting my morning with meditation helps me reduce stress, find my center and set my intentions for the day.

6 – 7 a.m. Facial dry brushing and bone broth

Dry brushing with the Facial Dry Brush is the most important part for my morning skincare routine. It boosts circulation, decreases puffiness and gently exfoliates. After I dry brush, I typically have bone broth as my first meal of the day. It’s rich in collagen that promotes glowing skin and healthy joints (key for longevity and mobility).

7 – 8:30 a.m. School prep and drop-off!

Here’s where my “me time” ends—time for caffeine! I typically go for matcha with almond milk or a sporadic coffee. I wake up my kids and start getting them ready for school. We have a healthy breakfast (they love making smoothies), I pack their lunch boxes, and we’re out the door! I usually throw on a Wide-Brim Visor …because Miami sun.

9 a.m. Mindful movement

I make it a priority to move my body throughout the day. In the morning, I like do a quick yoga flow to bring me a sense of tranquility and mental clarity. Twice a week, I immerse myself in a full Pilates practice to strengthen my core, improve my flexibility, and enhance my overall body awareness.

10 a.m. Time to work

After my yoga flow, it’s time for my lymphatic drainage ritual. I start with The Body Brush to get my circulation flowing, then hop in the shower. After, I apply Flow + Glow Body Oil for natural hydration and use The Body Tool for my massage ritual. You can get everything you need with The Essentials Kit, and you can find the complete ritual here. (Don’t stress about time, you can perform the complete ritual in 5-10 minutes!)

Stay tuned for part deux xx Gigi
