6 Ways to Take Care of Yourself (that cost NOTHING)

1. LIST 3 THINGS YOU LOVE ABOUT YOURSELF
Practicing self-gratitude contributes to our wellness and helps us focus on the GOOD in ourselves. This is especially powerful during those moments of insecurity and stress. Whether it be listing physical features you love about yourself or your wonderful personality traits, jot them down!

2. TAKE 8 MINUTES TO MEDITATE
Meditation is a sustainable practice of self-care and an investment in not only your personal wellness, but also in the well being of others who surround you. Eight minutes is all it takes to clear your mind, free yourself from stress & worry and be the best version of yourself.

3. DRINK WATER
Water is a key component to a self-care routine. Water has an impact on both your mental and physical wellness. Start by drinking 1-2 more glasses per day than you would normally would, then add in more over time. Even a small change can make a significant difference to your health and overall well-being.

4. D0 NOTHING (hide your to-do list)
When was the last time you did absolutely nothing?! Schedule time in your daily routine to put away that daunting to-do list and take a moment to relax, be present and actually enjoy every second of being responsibility-free.

5. MAKE SLEEP A PRIORITY
Making sleep a priority is probably the most important form of self-care. Sleep allows you to recharge and rebuild. Even just adding an extra 15-20 minutes of sleep into your nightly routine will make you feel more rested and energetic in the morning.

6. UNFOLLOW SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS THAT DON'T SERVE YOU
Filtering your social media feed is necessary sometimes, especially if you’ve been noticing that you’re not feeling good about yourself after scrolling through your social media apps. If someone makes you feel insecure, inferior or intimidated, unfollow that account. Make your social media apps a place of inspiration!
