Happy Birthday To Me: My Year in Review

Okay, so I’m officially in my late 30’s…

My birthday weekend kicked off on Thursday 9/7 as I turned 36. It was full of love, great food, and pure fun with my family and friends. We all know that celebrating a birthday can take a week, month or depending of what the number is, even a year. I want to celebrate with you, my De La Heart fam, all I have done this past year and plan what I can celebrate in the next. I’m blessed and grateful for another birthday to celebrate in good health and surrounded by love.

Thank you for trusting me and allowing me to help you elevate your wellness and beauty rituals.

What are the highlights of the last year?

  • Doing my 200 hr YTT to get my yoga teacher certification.
  • Celebrating baby Ronnie’s first year.
  • Celebrated 5 years of marriage.
  • Celebrated Shiva’s third birthday.
  • Saw Diana Ross perform live—a dream of mine. (I love the disco era)
  • Learned how to surf.
  • Went on my first yoga retreat.

What goals did I achieve or what steps have I taken to get there?

  • I was able to grow my business 3x.
  • I deepened my meditation practice by committing to daily practice.
  • I elevated my health and well-being.

 Where did I visit?

  • Bahamas
  • Disney World
  • Colorado
  • France
  • Mexico
  • Wyoming
  • Costa Rica
  • Spain

 Who did I meet?

  • I developed great friendships with amazing women.
  • One of the most successful people in the wellness and beauty industries who had become my business mentor and advisor.

Did I make any mistakes? What did I learn from them?

  • 100% I did, particularly in my personal life. I learned to know when to be off and when to on. I learned to be softer, less rigid, be more spontaneous, and kinder to those closer to me.

What do I need to let go of?

  • Self-limiting beliefs.

What do I need more of in my life?

  • Health and energy to accomplish all my goals and to always show up for my family.

Here’s what I hope to do on my birthday:

  • Wake up early and meditate for 45 min, give thanks for another year.
  • Wake up with my husband and kids.
  • Hug my husband and kids.
  • Give thanks
  • Practice yoga
  • Get my hair done
  • Have lunch with my friends
  • Eat delicious cake
  • Dinner with my family & friends

What goals do I have for the next year?

  • Travel to Japan.
  • Continue to grow De La Heart.
  • Spend more time with my kids.
  • Pay off my house.
  • Continue to elevate my health and well-being.

You are all my constant source of inspiration, thank you so much for joining me in this journey for the past 6 years. Trust that the best is yet to come!

xx
