Conscious and Curated Fashion: Antidote

Conscious and Curated Fashion: Antidote

Fashion is the third most polluting industry in the world, and one of the largest consumers of water. And boy, we know water is scarce these days—in fact over a billion people in the world don’t have access to safe water. The fashion industry is the second largest consumer and polluter of water because manufacturing clothing consumes extreme amounts of H2O. Crazy, right?
Don’t feel guilty yet, my fellow fashionistas, the fashion gods have come to the rescue with bad ass sustainable fashion. You may have heard the term “sustainable” before. But, do you know what it really means? Well, sustainability aims to minimize the negative footprint of a product’s life cycle by creating it in a way that is considerate of humanity and the environment. It involves responsible use of natural resources, renewable energy sources, and getting creative when it comes to reuse, repair, and recycling of products.

Antidote in Wynwood: Conscious, Curated and High End Fashion.
Sophie Zembra, born and raised in France, has brought her passion of sustainable fashion to Miami. Her flagship store, Antidote, lis the manifestation of her interest in both sustainability and fashion. The store located in Wynwood carefully curates a collection of high fashion and eco-conscious clothing brands which confirm that both worlds coexist in the most beautiful way.
We took a shopping trip to Antidote with fashion expert and stylist Paula Collarte. Très chic what we found!

Some our favorite brands:  Edun, re/done, Where Mountains Meet, Maggie Marilyn, Lemlem.

Paula wears Maggie Marilyn track pants and Where Mountains Meet blouse. The perfect day-to-night outfit.
