The Facial Jade Roller: My Everyday Ritual

Daily rituals are an act of self-care. In my case, practices like: acupuncture, eating well, exercising, getting enough sleep, and jade rolling!

The jade roller has been a skin-care staple for empresses and the upper echelons of Chinese society since at least the 17th century, hence the recent surge in popularity of the rollers.

My addiction with this chic, highly instagramable tool really lies in just how soothing it is to place the cold stone on my face as soon as I wake up. This ancient beauty tool is my skin's best-kept secret. In addition to the more spiritual act of dispelling bad energy, jade rolling has many beneficial uses as a form of facial massage.

What it is:
The jade facial roller is a Chinese beauty tool that has been used for thousands of years made out of natural jade stone.

What it does:
The jade is really good for evening your skin tone, for cooling and calming the skin. The smooth rolling action helps manipulate the toxins through your lymph network and toning your facial muscles. It even helps your products penetrate more deeply into your skin.

After washing and applying a serum and moisturizer, I use the roller around my chest and neck, rolling quickly and gently to help increase blood flow, with a few extra strokes on key areas such as the jawline and cheekbones.

How to use:
-Start in the middle of the face and roll outwards across the cheeks.
-Move to the t-zone and eyebrows in an upward motion and across the forehead.
-Move below the lower lip and roll downward across the chin.
-Use the smaller end for more delicate areas—like the undereye area.

If you don’t have one yet…order yours from our store, PRONTO! And remember, always apply the jade roller in an upward motion!

All my love,
Gigi
