Escapes: Austin, Super Cool City

Austin, Texas is the Live Music Capital of the world...and so much more. Explore with me everything that this city has to offer.

TRAVEL TIME: If you’re traveling from Miami, catch a direct flight and you’ll be in Austin in approximately 2 hours and 40 min. Flights are easy and AA offers great rates!

STAY: My personal favorite is the South Congress Hotel, but if you’re not into the boutique hotel vibe, you will love The Four Seasons downtown. Austin offers beautiful homes at great rates available on Airbnb.

WHAT TO EXPECT: You may have heard that Austin has been ranked as the number one city to live in the U.S two years in a row, number one coolest city in the U.S, America’s greatest music city, and if that wasn’t enough... it's also considered the best city to raise a family in the U.S.
Austin is a forward-thinking, progressive, and a super cool city. Its quality of life along with its residents sets it apart from other cities in the U.S. If you’re a young, active, millennial looking to stay healthy and be surrounded by nature, Austin is the place for you!
Start your day with an early-morning jog or bike ride around Zilker Metropolitan Park. If you’re into the hustle and bustle of the city life and a yoga lover, make sure to visit Wanderlust Yoga Studios and Black Swan Yoga for a spiritual yet sweaty yoga session downtown. For a mix of high vibes and tough love visit Kor180, take their Ryde and Reform classes, a combination of spinning and pilates.
After your workout grab a smoothie or a delicious acai bowl at Nekter Juice Bar, a mindful and clean eating booth. Clear your mind before exploring Austin’s nightlife at Meditation Bar, they offer 30-60 minute guided meditation classes.

DON’T MISS: Brunch at Cafe NoSe, which is a hip healthy cafe located inside the South Congress Hotel. Shop at ByGeorge, hands down best store in Austin, offering a wide selection of local artists and high-end designers. Dinner at UCHI. One of the best sushi restaurants I’ve ever been to (they offer a ton of vegan and vegetarian options). Make sure to book your reservation far in advance because they’re ALWAYS booked.
